When you lie to someone you are taking away their choices. You are actively deceiving someone in order to help yourself. It’s selfish. Can lying be justified? In dating relationships, trust is key. If you lie right out of the gate, the future of the relationship is pretty much doomed. You’ve presented yourself as something that you’re not. The other party will fall/has fallen for someone who doesn’t exist. I don’t know if time is even a factor, finding out you’ve been deceived over a year’s time or after one date is an awful feeling.
It sucks to find out something/someone isn’t what/who you believed it/them to be.
Thank you for bringing this to light. I’ve always hated being lied to. It is something that I just don’t tolerate in my life- and this helps to reaffirm why.
