As per my advice, my mom is writing a memoir. I didn’t think she’d take it seriously. I don’t have words for how this makes me feel. I really hope that in some distant or nearer future that it gets published. My mom is awesome.

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Chinese Americans, one of the most highly educated groups in the nation, are confronted by a “glass ceiling,” unable to realize full occupational stature and success to match their efforts, concludes a new study from the University of Maryland.
The returns on Chinese Americans’ investment in education and “sweat equity” are “generally lower than...

Question for liberal Democrats

commentaries:
Where is this “Constitutional right” to abortion I keep hearing from you people? I’ve read the Constitution many, many times and I’ve yet to see one word or one sentence that allows the federal government to make decisions on the matter.
No one has ever argued that there is or should be a constitutional right to abortion. As has been said many, many times, no one is for...
Has writing on paper become obsolete?
w-roddy:
shaneblog:
This was a question on twitter, and I answered yes, but what do you all think?
Yes. Palm said they wanted to replace paper at the Pre show at CES this year… Okay, not exactly - but they said Paper was their top competitor?
This is kind of a privledged question to be asking. Limited to the US, it may be ‘obsolete’ for middle America- but the education system- at...

I’m sorry. I tried to keep following you after you unfollowed me over my response to your Obama abortion post. But I just ended up resenting all of your subsequent posts. I need to lower my Tumblr blood pressure. You are therefor unfollowed. So long, I wish you well and hope that one day you see we are actually on the same side- with varying contentions.

Listen to a song that I found meaningful and maybe write a poem.

I'm watching The Bridge.

Meant to do this a while ago. So thanks to tparty for reminding me.
Did a speech on this in college in an event called Communication Analysis, or CA. You take a form of communication and rhetorically analyse it (…duh, ha.) Here is the significance and preview section of my speech as well as some of the analysis. The speechy parts won’t make a whole lot of sense out of...

Meth Minute Mondays: P-COK
It’s all about peacocks, specifically one named P-Cok. Ever notice how peacocks get all the girls? It must be the feathers. Play on playa.
I knew I had tapped into something big when, months later, I was at this random bakery in Canada and the girl behind the counter was singing all the words of this song. True story.
Love this one too.

As a solid book AND music lover, I often find it difficult to combine the two. There is so much to take in that I’m afraid I’ll miss something in one or the other. What do you think?
Coheed and Cambria write music for their comic books. I haven’t read them, but I know someone who swears by them. I worry about not reading fast enough, or too fast- you get the idea. He just kind of...

The robot was designed to retrieve parts from storage, but its work was deemed too slow. Robert Williams was retrieving a part from a storage bin when the robot’s arm hit him in the head, killing him instantly.
Thie sounds no different than if a vacume were to kill him. I don’t think we’re going to have an iRobot or a Matrix outbreak- well...
