Quick question
Don’t do it. This happened to me a few weeks ago. Luckily I had hard copies of a lot of what I lost. Technology isn’t as reliable as we want it to be. miss-r: I’m thinking of selling (or, more likely, giving away) my CD collection. Explanation: I’ll be moving house in a few weeks and am trying to cut down the sheer number of “things” I own. Question is, if I do, will I regret this...

Someday...
Yay! Things like this make me happy, and hopeful. laceymae: It will all come together and all make sense. Life is sometimes a cluster fuck. Right now, I’m just so thankful that I have the few best friends that I do have… Who love me, support me, trust me, and make me laugh when its damn near impossible. I’m still figuring myself out… The good, the bad, and the just plain unbearable. But life is...

So I’m pissed that my plans for tomorrow morning fell through, because I would be in line waiting to see Batman right now.

Why were American Pilots in World War II given... →
science: The pilots were told that if they dropped the sphere into the ocean, their current position could be worked out by allies in the region and they would be rescued. But the sphere was too heavy to float and contained no electronics, or anything for that matter, inside. So how did it work? Turns out the spheres were made with a specific thickness so they would be crushed by the ocean’s...

Kurt Vonnegut: How to Write With Style →
cubicle17: Why should you examine your writing style with the idea of improving it? Do so as a mark of respect for your readers, whatever you’re writing. If you scribble your thoughts any which way, your readers will surely feel that you care nothing about them. They will mark you down as an egomaniac or a chowderhead —- or, worse, they will stop reading you.
