You know why you loved it? Because it was on your high school curriculum and it was THE ONLY BOOK YOU READ IN HIGH SCHOOL. Oh, you related to a whiny, socially inept kid who couldn’t figure his shit out? No kidding! That’s fucking incredible. I mean, to think that a character like that could reach teenagers—fucking shocks me silly!

I’m having one of the worst days of my ‘unemployed phase.’
I just fucked up my computer. I am expecting to lose everything when I take it in on the 1st. I’m most upset about Final Cut Pro, which I won’t be able to get back or reinstall.
Perhaps the worst part was that it was completely self-inflicted and it totally my fault. I’m already embarrassed and trying...

Sleepy Thought #34
I really want to consider David Gordon Green as one of my favorite directors. I’ve seen everything he’s done except Snow Angels, which Netflix predicts I’m not going to like and Pineapple Express. Generally, I love the style choices he makes- but Undertow? Kinda threw me for a loop there, David.

And you can totally tell that it was a pick-up. The moody lighting. The awkward placement of the scene. The physical positioning of Bella. Reason I Don’t Like the Twilight Movie #3. Reason #4 is not using Rob’s improvisation. It’s supposed to be a piano...

This explains a lot. I absolutely hated the score for this movie. I feel like it was almost condescending, something which I never thought I’d say about a score, especially one done by the guy who composes for the Coen Brothers . You can add this as Reason I Didn’t Like the Twilight Movie #2.

maxed out.
samtastic:
my credit card payment from this month didn’t go through. so my payment was late. it was my second late payment this year (last one was last month) so my APR tripled and I had to pay an outrageous late fee. All of this brought my balance to $10 short of maxing out. In order to pay my bill today, I had transfer $100 into checking from a savings account that is rapidly dwindling.

Man Shot In Philly Theatre For Talking During...
thedailywhat:
A man and his son, who were talking to each other during a showing of The Curious Case of Benjamin Button at the Riverview Theatre in Philadelphia, so enraged another moviegoer that he shot the father point-blank with a .380-caliber pistol.
From The Philadelphia Inquirer:
Police were called to the Riverview Theatre in the 1400 block of Columbus Boulevard about 9:30 p.m. where...
midday thought #18
My 25 year-old sister is mad that I threw her the remote (cause she asked for it), she missed it and it hit her foot. Hasn’t spoken directly to me since, except to deal with the dog which she has obvious disdain for. She didn’t go to the movie with everyone else and now she’s stomping around packing up and leaving early. She is twenty-five. 25.
I told her she was a big girl and...

What do you consider unfollowable offenses?
robot-heart:
What is your tumblr dealbreaker? Because sometimes I feel really shallow for the reasons that I unfollow people. Example: thinking Julia Allison is cool. UN. FOLLOW.
(On the upside, posting something about how much you love Rachel Maddow? Instafollow.)
I unfollow blogs that make me unhappy. There are a few different ways to do that. None of which are very important to anyone...

3 Smart Things About Sleeping Late
expectoomuch:
1 // You may need more sleep than you think. Research by Henry Ford Hospital Sleep Disorders Center found that people who slept eight hours and then claimed they were “well rested” actually performed better and were more alert if they slept another two hours. That figures. Until the invention of the lightbulb (damn you, Edison!), the average person slumbered 10 hours a night.
